I had the same problem, because for some stupid reason Sony needs to format the card if you switch from PAL to NTSC. I wished there was a program that could be so far there is not. Sony does a major format and just not a basic like Canon and others do.

Hi don't bother! When you format an SD card in a Sony A7 series sorry to say the images can not be recovered. If I remember correctly you can download a free version that will do the scan and show what it found but not recover until you buy a license. I've recovered USB sticks that have gone bad. It cost, but gets the job done (sofar, haven't tried on A7RII memory cards).
